    Dec 28,  · referencing Take It Off, LP, Album, ATL K 50 CHIC ditched the Chic strings on this album in favor of a more stripped-down, funkier sound. Still has the CHIC stamp however, and "Stage Fright" & "So Fine" might just be two of my all-time favorites at this point.4/5().

If "Real People" had been a disappointment, reaching only #30 in the US, "Take It Off" stalled at an abysmal # Musically, the album did mark a departure, and the music was as solid as ever.
