If you're a casual Gram Parsons fan, you should get his Live CD and the Return of the Grievous Angel tribute (I think Emmylou Harris did that) instead of this. Those are a better use of your time and money. This disc is OK. I really like Gram Parsons, but was kind of uninspired by this disc/5(4).

The album featured six Parsons/Hillman originals, including Wheels, Christine’s Tune and Sin City, with the line, “On the 34th floor a goldplated door, won’t keep out the Lord’s burning rain”, a dig at the suited managers and businessmen in their plush offices.

This tribute shows just how many people Gram Parsons' music influenced. My favorite song is Return Of The Grievous Angel by Joey Burns & Victoria Williams. They do a terrific version. This song alone is worth the price of the CD. I wish Joey Burns would record his own Gram Parsons tribute /5(4).

A less star-studded but no less heartfelt tribute, Conmemorativo: Tribute to Gram Parsons, featuring independent acts appeared in the mid ’90s. Another grand tribute was the concert organized by Polly Parsons and Sin City Social Club maven Shilah Morrow and .
